My work sits at the intersection of wellbeing, behaviour change and data, and it’s deeply personal. I’ve personally navigated burnout, health challenges, and the unfortunate experience of losing loved ones to preventable diseases.
As well as being a wellness coach, I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of Vitopia AI, a wellness platform designed to take the guesswork out of achieving your health goals.
MY STORY
For many years, I worked in high-pressure environments. I held senior leadership roles in the human rights and humanitarian sector, working globally from managing international campaigns to operating in conflict and crisis settings. Alongside that, I was raising a young family, writing a novel and running a coaching practice
Like many high-achievers, I thought constant stress and lack of sleep was normal. I worked late. I ignored the signals from my body. I relied on adrenaline and caffeine to get through. I believed that if I just pushed harder, everything would work out.
Twelve years ago, I hit burnout. What followed was a long, frustrating and expensive journey from one health professional to another, trying countless approaches, experimenting with every new fad promising answers. It was overwhelming, confusing, and far harder than it needed to be
Wellness, Simplified
That experience led me to a more sustainable, habits-first, data-driven approach to wellness. I trained as a wellness coach and studied habit formation, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, mindset and behaviour change. I became an early adopter of self-quantification using data to understand how the body responds to habits, stress, sleep and lifestyle.
In 2024, my commitment to this work deepened again. My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and a month later passed away from a massive stroke. Less than six months after that, my dad died from a brain bleed. Losing both of them so close together made one thing painfully clear: so many serious health outcomes are preventable yet navigating health and prevention is far too complex and confusing for most people.
Today, incredible advancements in optimal health and longevity exist. But too often they’re expensive, exclusive, or difficult to apply in real life. I believe it doesn’t have to be that way. That belief is why I coach and why I co-founded Vitopia AI.
I’ve also learnt that my power doesn’t lie in my head or my to-do lists or my ability to get shit done. It’s certainly not in the way I used to suppress my feelings and numb myself out. Like you, my true power, lies in my ability to embrace my innate superpower: my sensitivity and to live and lead with a wide open heart and a fierce conviction to myself and the world. To me that is true leadership.
